My father's brother, Herb, began researching the history of our family in the 1970s. Part of his efforts included interviewing his mother, my grandmother, before her memories were lost to us. Herb recorded these interviews on reel-to-reel tape. I had these recordings digitized and transcribed to the best of my ability.
