While a work in progress, on this site I plan to have extensive information about my father's ancestry, the Mahrdt and Korra families. (I am also working on a site for my mother's side, the Bernard and Covalt families.) Much of the history I have came from the years my uncle Herb spent doing research. Herb did publish a book on the family in 1987. You can view this book in the last section of the site.

The first section here, Audio Stories, is complete. It consists of interviews of my grandmother, Wilhelmine 'Mimi' Mahrdt recorded by my uncle Herb on reel-to-reel tapes. Basic transcripts can be opened to assist in following the recordings.

The next section will have photos and links to a larger collection of family images. There are hundreds, not all of which are identified. The first photos I include will be those where I know who is pictured.

The trees section will contain images and information on parts of our extended family tree. I am also working to make viewing the more extensive tree possible without having to join Ancestry or any other commercial site. However, to maintain privacy and restrict access to family members only, each person will need my approval.

The Stories section will contain facts and stories of family members and family groups. I welcome information and stories from anyone connected to the family.
